OMG this is driving me insane. I just received my monitor TODAY and I'm having a problem already. I have it hooked up to my apple powerbook. Whats happening is for some reason my screen will blink BLACK every now and then. Its hard to watch a movie or what not without it happening a billion times. Even as I type this message it does it. And just to be more specific its not a short blip.
Its a good 2 - 3 second pause. PLEASE HELP ME.

This may sound stupid, but so many times have things went wrong only to be found eventually that a simple solution existed. Is your screensaver or energy power monitor settings turned on?
My laptop would hibernate every 10 min if left untouched & would shutdown the monitor to conserve battery power. Goodluck with your problem. (If it is any consolation, I just went through dell tech support via email in regards to my problem with seeing lines in my monitor, and it was a hassle-free experience of having a replacement sent to me.
